SentryPoints Software System Overview

SentryPoints offers various Public Safety and Security Products that provide Asset Management, Command and Control, Messaging and Mapping, Threat and Vulnerability Assessment, Non-emergency Call Center support, and Emergency Phone Response Systems. These products can be employed within any agency using a variety of commonly available hardware and most known communications systems. Our products provide integrated support for cities, counties, and agencies in public safety, homeland security, and public works management.

Key SentryPoints Functions

Situational Awareness (SA) provides essential information to critical decision making both at command posts and other sites in the field on most mobile computing platforms.

Common Operating Picture (COP) provides timely and accurate asset location information at, and for, all agencies. The program displays unit locations, current status, and assignment and tasking.

Automated Network Connectivity allows first responders and other users at all levels and locations to pass information both horizontally and vertically within the force structure. SentryPoints employs various communications means to transmit digitally over existing data and voice media. Further, SentryPoints can operate over local area networks, commercial telephone ("land") lines, and other common communications means.

Command and Control (C2) functionality supports all aspects of the "plan - direct - execute" cycle. Users can develop estimates, planning guidance, plans, annexes, incidents, tasking, and supporting overlays. Various Public Safety and First Responder organizations and agencies can create and disseminate incidents and reports real-time.

Asset Management allows for smarter and faster deployment and tasking of agency and non-agency assets. SentryPoints works as a force-multiplier by managing existing assets more efficiently and effectively.

Incident Command System

Concepts defined by the National Interagency Incident Management System (NIIMS) based Incident Command System (ICS) have 5 key functions for incident management:

1. Command
2. Planning
3. Operations
4. Logistics
5. Finance and Admin

SentryPoints has been designed to serve each of these areas to include collaborative planning among the functional areas, reporting, archiving, proficiency and certification training, and real-time incident status.

Systems and Agency Integration

SentryPoints integrates "stove pipe" systems to provide a Common Operation Environment with added functionality. Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD), Records Management System (RMS), Customer Relationship Management (CRM), Geographical Information Systems (GIS), Automated Vehicle Location (AVL), Emergency Operations Center (EOC) software work together to provide a Common Operating Picture at all levels across all agencies in the network.

Comprehensive Data Capture

To evaluate the effectiveness of day-to-day operations, and the city or county's response to an emergency, access to information about an incident is essential. The software captures all information generated during an event and enables city officials to undertake comprehensive reviews of the response to each incident.

Seamless Communication and Integration

Currently, Homeland Security and Public Safety are fragmented among local, state, and national response agencies. These agencies lack coordination and interoperability. By working on existing agency communications equipment, the SentryPoints system allows different systems to be integrated. As a result local, state, and federal agencies can communicate and coordinate response efforts much more effectively. This is an essential ingredient of integrated response management.

Agency Coordination and Training

SentryPoints command and control software enables city response agencies to conduct simulations for training purposes using the same system used for normal operations as well as crisis management. This can save time and money in training and simulation by working with real units currently in the field. This also allows refinement of emergency response procedures, instructs individual users, and increases the coordination between response agencies in the event of a real emergency.

The SentryPoints Solution

By utilizing SentryPoints' Command and Control Software Systems, cities are able to provide all public safety and security responders with real-time asset management, situation awareness, and command and control capabilities assisting in coordination efforts, speeding response time, and acting a force multiplier in responding to any incident.
